February 12, 7:47pm - That old Fanfiction Net poll has been there since forever and I keep forgetting to changing. That's why I'm blogging this as a reminder to myself. Unfortunately I can't do that now because the site's log in is down again. It's happened twice already recently (that I know of). What's up with that? Here I was ready to celebrate that my Slayers fanfic "Slayers Alive" is close to reaching 200,000 words.

February 13, 4:19pm - Started rewatching Zenki. This is an old anime, but it's fun. Looked up some info on Jeannie. Man is that show ever old. I watched it as a toddler, but I didn't realize it was made over 20 years before I was born. I knew it was old but I thought it was 80s, it's actually older than that. O.o;;

February 11 - "To Live Another Day" has been renamed "Slayers Life" but will keep its original title here at DA to make it easier to find all the chapters. As for this doodle. It's a scene from the upcoming story "Slayers Days" previously known as "Of Love and Sports". The new story will be like a collection of one-shots but also an overall story. That is to say, the episodes will each have a self contained plot and theme but there will also be some eventual overall character development. It will be humors, light and easy to read. It will also be constantly centered about Xellos and Filia, tough some mentions of AmeliaxZelgadis and LinaxGourry will most likely be made. I guess you can compare it to the earlier chapters of Slayers Life where the story was light and relatively simply. That story eventually get complicated, but Slayers Days will say focused on the humor all through.

Edit: Changed "Life" to "Alive" because I think it sounds cooler. Okay, I'm done being indecisive now. XD Really this is all a work in progress. I have several Slayers things planned for when I finish the story. :D I also have some more Pokemon things planned and Final Fantasy VII.

Fanfiction Net's +1 google thing is messed up. D: Do I need to add everything all over again after the site's failure yesterday? It shouldn't affect Google, right? Then why aren't the buttons blue? I'm angry at my internet connection.

It keeps failing constantly. I was told before that the line was too weak to be split, but it's split anyway (phone + internet with 2 phones but only one number so it's one call at a time.) Dad put a phone in my tech room so that I could easily pick it up when when I'm there and hear it despite having headphones because it's right next to me. Except I hate picking up the phone anyway so I don't want the stupid phone. I doubt disconnecting it would help because there's still the extension that leads to the kitchen so mother can use the phone. It might help I bit though, I don't know. I'll get rid of it and see. Why must internet come with phones? No one here cares about the phone, mother and I have cell phones and dad couldn't care less about calling anyone. Actually I only have my cell for emergencies, parents pay for it because I don't even want it, but they insist on me having it for emergencies. It's cheap and prepaid and doesn't have any games or wifi so really, I don't care much for it. I'm definitely an email person. The good phones come with plans which I don't want. I'm not going to pay for a cell plan just so I can use the bonus features and never use the things I actually pay for. If I find an offer that's internet only I'm getting rid of the house phone. But I can't get rid of it if it's on the plan because if mother doesn't use it she won't pay for it. I don't mind paying for the whole thing myself (phone+internet) granted that the stupid phone doesn't get in the way of my net. But then she'll whine about me paying for it and not using it and will want to use it so that it's not "wasted" and I'm not paying for a phone to be used, I'd pay to get rid of the stupid thing.

After getting some recommendations on Beloved Enemy http://z3.invisionfree.com/Beloved_Enemy/index.php?act=site (join! join!) I started watching Maison Ikkoku. It's so ancient, by the same author as Ranma. The main girl looks like Kagome. It looks pretty slow though, not actiony like Ranma. I might drop it in favor of something actiony.

February 9 - I'm having a ton of fun playing Jeanne D'Arc even though tactics isn't my thing this game is super cute and the characters level quickly. I had to stop to train them but the progress is clearly noticeable so it doesn't feel like grinding.

February 5 - Started playing Chono Cross, so far unimpressed, but not hating it. I have very low expectations so it will hopefully not disappoint.

February 7 - I'm online more often than playing games lately, but I'm slowly making progress through Chrono Cross, very slowly. I've been playing for less than an hour total. Heading to Termina with Leena and the puppy. I'm playing on the PSP, I wonder if there's a hidden option to let me stretch the image. Right now it doesn't take up the whole PSP screen so it's super tiny.

On a random note, it seems I'm only capable of choking on things no one chokes on. I can stuff my face with food and not have a problem, big barely chewed bites are okay for me. Water I must drink slowly because water hates me, but don't they ell people to drink water so they won't choke on food? Just now I ate a handful of candy hearts, no problem, ten minutes later I breathe and choke on air for no reason. It happens like once every two years or so. It's been about that long since I last choked on something that doesn't make sense, so I guess I should have expected it.

February 1 - Went to buy gift for a coworker's baby shower. Driving during the day feels off now that I'm used to the night. It was so bright and crowded! As I was stuck in a traffic jam someone in a bike zoomed by way faster than the cars... -.- I finally got to the store and bought the gift... right after I picked out a hair clip, a perfume and five nail polishes for myself. XD I have so many shades of blue! ♥

January 29 - I really am happy with the fact that I have a good job. It's not about money, the money really isn't great, it is rather low paying, but I don't care. It's been almost a year (in March) and I'm as energetic as ever. With my past box farm job I last about 6 months and I was dying. I didn't even bother with simple politeness such as giving a greeting when I got to the office because it simply wasn't worth it. I didn't make a single friends, they were all lame workaholics. In this job there's an actual daily goal to be met and once it's finished, it's finished, see you tomorrow. In the past job we had a schedule and it didn't matter if I did 5 things or ten because I had to wait for it anyway. Not very motivating.

Okay, so now that the moment of gratitude and "yay" is done, on to some more random peculiarities of this job. Aside from the opportunity to see some occasional eye candy, we do supernatural research and bible studies. They might as well build a church and a sci-fi laboratory behind the office, they could probably use some of the space of the cargo hold.

Confession time... the flight process is just a cover up, we're actually paranormal researchers! A few days ago we were poking around the internet for HAARP conspiracy theories and supernatural explanations for the odd clouds that have been seen in some parts of the world. There were also stories about how the airport is haunted, which I'll elaborate on in the next post of Random Events at the Airport.

We also occasionally watch videos. Recently they showed these videos at the office. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSwCOs-uXzU and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-7W36ln7sg my question is... what flavor pie is that? It looks so odd! XD No one could identify it at work. Does anyone know?

PS: Researchers have discovered that there's a weather control conspiracy in the works for the development on a bio weapon. The government wants to take over the internet for espionage purposes linked to the installation of microchips on human beings disguised as integrated credit cards. Those who disobey will be struck by lightning... It's true, true! I was there for the research, it's all based on completely serious factual internet rumors! :o

January 24 - My scanner died of old age. It makes me sad. It still turns out and tries to scan, but the image is stretched. ;_;

January 25 - My scanner revived! It's still agonizing, but alive. The poor dear is like 12 years old. I just beat Fubuki on Disgaea 2. I also trained more mages. I have them on level forty something and they're super strong. High damage multiple target long rage attacks that don't miss? Yes! I have four mage characters blue mage (leaned star magic), star mage (leaned healing magic), star skull and red skull. The others are Adell, Rozalin and a warrior boy. I have Yukimaru for backup, but those are my main 7.

January 19 - This SOPA thing is becoming more viral than lol cats and that's saying plenty. In case anyone is curious, I don't join sites that request personal info, which means that I won't be giving out any, ever. If the (unlikely) rumors about Fanfiction Net, Deviant Art and other such sites being shut down or turned into spies ever (dreadfully) come true, then you'll be able to find me at http://piratesboard.net/mikari/ only since I have a nice non-spy host there (just a ninja pirate but that's another story). If the those sites don't get messed up, I'll still post on them of course.

January 20 - Yesterday leaving work I was going out of the parking lot into the road. I was thinking "go" but my foot was on the break in the middle of getting into my lain. Then a random car zooms by out of nowhere. O.o;; Needless to say I'm thankful that my foot didn't respond to my brain. Talk about little miracles to be grateful for.

I'm on episode 8 in Disgaea 2. I need to fight Axel, I decided to train a bit first. I find it more predictable than D1. Maybe I'm "used" to its style, but it took me longer to figure out who the red prinny and Midboss secretly were. I've had a theory about the masked servants and Rozalin's dreams for a long time now. At least the gameplay is easier, which is good since I'm not a fan of tactics, I'm in it for the cute characters and amusing story. Fom D1 Laharl and Flonne are my favs. From D2 I like Adell's design best, but he's too heroic and goody-goody. Axel's personality amuses me the most, but he's also a bit too goody-goody. I liked Flonne's geeky-goody-goody style and Laharl's selfishness, but I don't like fluffy or heroic good characters. Maybe because I'm only keep my promises to those I care for because I care, not because I promised, and I don't really bother with those I've "left behind" so I can't relate to them. Laharl's bratty ways reminds me of myself as a kid, though I masked as a Flonne most of the time until my true colors shone. Sure, I've changed over the years, but I can still relate to them and my kid-ish self slightly resurfaces now and then.

January 12 - Playing Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. The game play seems friendlier than 1, though I liked the characters from 1 better. The slow strategy style is still not my thing and I wish this was a real RPG. I got stuck on episode 2, I still to level up my kamikaze, I mean, my characters. I'm trying to collect at least 50 mana to make some extra characters.

January 15 - I taught all my Disgaea 2 mains to heal. I'm using Adell, Rozalin, Filia (healer), Gourry (male fighter), Lina (red skull, I know they're supposed to be boys but they look like girls with the pigtail hoods), Mikari (blue mage). I'm teaching my magic users to cast all the different elements available. I haven't unlocked much yet. I'll probably make one more character or wait for the another human to join (they can throw so that helps). I won't bother making ten characters to level (is ten the limit in this game too?) I do better with fewer better leveled characters. I'm on episode 3 so far. Adell and Axel are my favorites. I still like the story of Disgaea 1 better.

January 3 - Yay for days off! I have today and tomorrow this week. I'll write fics and play games. ^_^ I'm slowly watching Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds again, I'm on episode 61. I stopped watching Inuyasha: Final Act on episode 4 because I couldn't find the dub of 5. I'll get back to that. I'm still playing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tag Force 4 (PSP) I have tons of event duels left to unlock.

With every passing year my "Resolutions" turn into more of a "To Do List" but I'm getting better at doing everything on the list so that's still good. XD Most of my plans are fandom related, but I do have some shrine related things I want to do when I get the fics done...

- Finish writing my Slayers fanfic "To Live Another Day" (expected to be over 50 chapters)

- Outline the plot and then write "Loyalty" (Pokemon fanfic) (expected to be about 10 chapters)

- Practice writing in different ways... Explanation: The plot outline of "Don't Give Me Diamonds" (Pokemon) developed little by little staying a few chapters ahead of the writing. The outline of "To Live Another Day" was done before the writing started although not in detail and it had changed a lot, although it had already reach the (possibly) final version. For "Loyalty" (Pokemon) I plan to have a full outline first. For "Reintegration" (Final Fantasy VII) I had a plan in my head, though not a written outline. For "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" (Summon Night) I had no plan what so ever and made it up as I went along, I didn't even have an ending in mind, though people think it turned out well. Since "To Live Another Day" (Slayers) and the upcoming "Loyalty" (Pokemon) are both so reliant on a solid preplanned outline, I want the one to come after that to be free writing (I have a concept and an ending in mind already, but nothing in the middle). I want to be able to follow a plan and be able to improvise. That story will be related to Valkyria Chronicles II.

- Summary: Work on these fanfics... one at the time so I can fully focus on them:
- "To Live Another Day" (Slayers)
- "Loyalty" (Pokemon)
- Untitled (Valkyria Chrinicles II)

- Finally, when I get all of that done, I intend to do something web-design related... A mini-shrine to a somewhat unusual subject and possibly invite others to shrine subjects of similar themes, as there are very few such shrines out there... I might move this up on the list to right after finishing "To Live Another Day" (Slayers)... probably... I know it's not too specific, but I would rather not spoil it (that and though I have the theme I don't have a final choice on the subject yet so I couldn't tell you anyway) ^^;;

- This one is less of a to do thing and more of a "constant" thing. Give my collective http://piratesboard.net/mikari/ a new layout every now and then, like say once a month.

- Make some more graphics for Surreptitious http://piratesboard.net/mikari/summon/night.php I mean really 15+ information sections and only 2 media sections? I need to add more shinies to make it more "me" XD Although I'll probably add some more information too.

- Add some more info to Golden Phoenix (possibly) I would have to rewatch the series or find some good episode summaries to refresh my memory... I'll probably rewatch since the information I need is mostly in the first part of the series and that's just 26 episodes, plus I can take screen shots. This will take a while, as I plan to do a character study with the hero monomyth inspired by Snow's awesome Aya Brea site Liberation http://piratesboard.net/ss/aya/ and I know little about it, so I'll have to study up. I also need to revise the similarities page and read (listen to my computer reading) the whole site once I'm done with the ambitious project to make sure it all fits in nicely.

Is a year even enough? O.o;; Maybe I should make this my resolution list for the next decade. XD lol, just kidding, it shouldn't take more than a year or two.
